It's by no accident that The Perkins Construction
Company offices are located inside a lumberyard building originally
constructed in the 1950s. We're a strong believer in adaptive reuse
and historic preservation. Ann Arbor's many historic buildings
give our community identity and historic continuity, both valuable
attributes to which we're committed.
When a building has outlived its purposes,
we work hard to adapt it to today's needs, while safeguarding its
inherent charm. Adaptive reuse puts our great strengths to work:
craftsmanship and attention to detail. We go to great lengths to
be historically accurate. From transforming a 1928 gas station into
a banking facility to adding a dining room to an 1886 railroad
station, we're experienced in making all kinds of old buildings
feel brand new.
